Pressure foot ulcers affect many seniors. We developed the Geriatric leg with pressure ulcer to teach how to care and clean pressure ulcers in various stages. Pressure ulcers often occur at pressure points such as heels, fingertips or where bones form lumps and rub against socks, shoes or sheets.
This replica shows all four severity stages:
Stage 1 - located under the big toe. Surface reddish skin.
Stage 2 - Located in the sole of the foot just below the big toe. Surface skin redness, depression reaches deeper layers of the skin.
Stage 3 - Located on the side of the foot. Surface reddish skin looks a crater, and reaches the bottom layer of the skin.
The Geriatric Foot with Pressure Ulcer includes a foot and a card with information. Approx. 24 cm x 10 cm.
